Since 2022, Step Inside Portugal has supported thousands of individuals and families in their journey to Portugal — offering tax assistance, relocation services, and strategic guidance. As the community grew, so did the complexity of our clients’ legal needs.

Step Inside Legal was created to complement and expand the services provided by Step Inside Portugal.
Our mission is to deliver clear, efficient, and client-focused legal solutions to those living, investing, or relocating to Portugal.

Alongside it, Step Inside Legal focuses exclusively on legal advisory, offering assistance in areas such as real estate transactions, company setup, residence and citizenship applications, and broader legal representation.

Rita Terrível
Rita holds a Law degree from the University of Coimbra and has postgraduate studies in Corporate Law and Tax Law at both the University of Lisbon and the Catholic University of Portugal.
Her academic path also includes a summer course in International Taxation at Leiden University, in the Netherlands — a key step in deepening her focus on international tax matters and expanding her global perspective.
Rita’s career has been built in law firms and consulting environments, always focused on tax law and cross-border matters, supporting both individuals and companies. Over the years, she developed a strong connection with international clients and a clear understanding of their challenges when navigating the Portuguese legal system.

After an enriching Erasmus experience in Barcelona, which sparked her interest in international work, and driven by the flexibility made possible during the pandemic — as well as a desire to create a healthier work-life balance after becoming a mother — Rita founded the Step Inside Group.
Her goal was to create a modern, independent structure where clients could find reliable, multidisciplinary support in Portugal. Step Inside Legal is a core part of that vision: a legal practice designed to support clients with clarity, precision, and genuine care.
